Designs by MiSo offers affordable interior design services & provides custom design consultations. What does this mean? If you are looking to redecorate an existing room in your house, are building a new home , or renovating a room in your home and need remodeling/redecorating advice, I am here to help you create a new design plan for your space.

For design services, I only charge an initial $75 consultation fee ( to look at your space and spend up to an hour evaluating your wants/needs/budget) plus $50 travel fee (if travel time is greater than 30 mins from New Bedford). That's it!!!! NO other fees apply unless you decide to use my services. At the very least, you get a good idea of how to improve your space!

If you decide to use my design services, after we discuss your wants/needs , your design style and what your vision is, we will talk about budgeting in detail (and advise where money is well spent and how to prioritize your design ideas in order of importance, in relation to budget). Once I have a firm grasp of what your design 'vision' is, I measure your space. I do ALL the homework for you. I will provide you with all the information you need to design your room from start to finish. You will receive a detailed sketch of what I envision your room to look like, product information & pricing, and product samples (ie. color swatches for paint, hardwood flooring samples, curtain swatches, etc). I will find all the furniture/accessories/flooring/lighting/window coverings that fit your needs & budget, and then present you with a complete and detail oriented design plan for your space (see below for specific room pricing). I do all the planning and you get to enjoy all the compliments!

Price ranges for different rooms are dependent on room size and complexity of design, but price ranges are generally as follows:

*Bedroom $500-$750

*Living room/family room/den/dining room $500-$750

*Bathrooms $500-$1000

*Kitchens $750-$2000

*Basements $750-$2000

*Attic space $750-$2000

*Recreation room $500-$750

*Exterior work (including deck/patio design) $500-$1500

*Front or side entrance only $350-$600

**Prices are fixed and never more than maximum amount

For large scale projects, such as whole house remodeling projects, package deals are available as well as hourly rate options. My hourly rate is $75/hr for those clients who prefer to pay by the hour for ongoing 'as needed' design assistance. More information is available at your request.

In order to secure my design services, a design contract must be signed and a 50% deposit is required. Another 25% payment will be required when project is half completed and then the final 25% payment will be due upon completion of the project.

As a designer, I get significant discounts towards cabinets, countertops, lighting, tile, and other accessories from the companies I work with.  I pass on ALL those savings to my clients.  So it's actually LESS EXPENSIVE to hire me to do the design legwork for you, than to tackle a renovation  yourself! The money I save you with my discounts pays for my fees and still puts money in your pocket!

For those of you who, after the initial consultation, decide to use my services: I will ALWAYS provide you with exact pricing for design work beforehand. NO surprises. And once my design plan for your space is complete, I can provide you with all the sub-contractor information you need to help you bring my design plan to life!
